WestFest is Glasgow’s newest and biggest cultural and community festival and every June captures the imaginations of participants, residents and visitors in the West End of Glasgow.
The third annual WestFest will take place from Sunday 1st – Sunday 29th June, bringing together over 150 events in 60+ venues across the West End
Over 70 Glasgow-based organisations, community groups and local and international artists deliver a mixture of activities and projects, overseen by a small festival team.
WestFest brings all of these activities together in the festival programme and includes events, exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops and screenings, and many are free of charge to allow accessibility.
More than 250,000 visitors have attended the event since we launched in 2022 and last year the festival encompassed 131 events- with total attendance estimated at 110,000.
The festival is supported with funding from Glasgow City Council , National Lottery Communities Fund and a range of sponsors and supporters.
WestFest was formed in 2022 in response to overwhelming public demand for accessible community and cultural events in the absence of former festivals and events.
WestFest features a colourful mix of concerts, performances, recitals, galas and exhibitions; across music, theatre, comedy & visual art. You can also expect lots of special highlights such as the Glasgow Vintage Open Bus Tours, The Big Sunday @ The Bandstand and the return of the Kelvingrove Outdoor Ceilidh.
At the heart of WestFest will be our programme of free outdoor community events throughout June which will be announced in April.
In addition look out for a great selection of live music, choral events, theatre, exhibitions and lots more- all free and under the colourful umbrella of WestFest.
We look forward to seeing you again in June!
